How to community event during the Oktoberfest: serve Weißwurst, pretzels, loads of veggie snack options and – yes – wheat beer! (Of course also as a non-alcoholic version.) Tell them to wear Tracht ... and here we go...!
For "Wiesn season" we turned our weekly Open Community Breakfast into an Open Weißwurst Frühstück. Since that's how you win the hearts of (adopted) Munich residents by storm – no cliché! – there's a Weißwurst Frühstück at BASE every first Wednesday of the month anyway. For the Oktoberfest special, however, we've upgraded it with decorations, traditional costumes and beer.
And it was a great success: in addition to our members, a few "Auswärtige" also came. The 30 white sausages didn't hear the 12 o'clock bell (as expected) and by 11 o'clock everyone was actually ready – for a productive day at work, of course. 😇
